We are looking for new talent to join our Trainee program in Helsinki, Tampere and/or Oulu. At Exove, you can put your skills into practice and grow your talents among experienced professionals and be part of fighting digital frustration.
What is the job like?
As a Developer Trainee, you get to work versatilely with front-end, back-end or full stack development, depending on your skillset and preferences, and help solve customer’s needs and challenges together with your project team.
You will have an immense amount of support throughout the Trainee program, during which you’ll have your own designated buddy, technical mentor and immediate supervisor helping and guiding you along the way. Also, as we want to support your professional growth in many ways, the Trainee program has regular trainings throughout the whole summer. In these trainings you get to learn new things about different technologies and Exove's practices.
Developer Trainee’s week could include for example following tasks:
- Different development tasks, solving tickets
- Regular project meetings with your team.
- Participating in Trainee program’s trainings and doing some related exercises.
- Regular feedback meetings with your manager and mentor.

What kind of people are we looking for?
You might be the one we are looking for if you have previous knowledge of platforms and programming languages such as React, Next.js, Node.js or Typescript, and you want to learn more about software development. Interest in web service platforms such as Drupal and Wordpress is a plus, since part of our work takes place with CMS’s.
We do not expect you to have previous work experience in the field, but important to us is your strong desire to learn more about web development. We expect you to have a can-do attitude, good organizational skills and not to be afraid of taking initiatives. A big part of the work is done in teams and in different client projects, so we expect you to also be a team player. Finnish language skills are a plus, but we expect you to be comfortable working in English, as it is Exove's official working language.
Many trainees have stayed with us after the summer and spent a long time with us. We are looking for long lasting friendships and at the end of the trainee period we’d hopefully be discussing the continuation of your career at Exove as a part- or full-time employee.

Our application process includes a phone interview, coding test and remote interview(s). The candidates will be informed about the different stages of the application process.
During the Trainee period the monthly salary is 2600€. After that, if your journey at Exove continues, the salary is revised.
